An immigration bond is a guarantee of payment to the government (usually KSH 100,000 in Kenya) as security in the unlikely event there is need for deportation. In exchange of the premium you pay us, we undertake to pay the government the aforementioned amounts to cover the costs of the deportation process.
Why do you need an immigration bond?
As a non-Kenyan, the ministry of immigration will require you to deposit KES 100,000 as security upfront or obtain an immigration bond in lieu of the security deposit when applying for a work permit. The immigration bond is a much reasonable option to provide as security compared to the upfront amount needed. You will only need to renew it after every three years.
How much does it cost to obtain an immigration bond?
The cost of acquiring an immigration bond with Allianz Kenya is KES 7,500, for a three years’ bond.
