Claim FAQS

Report the incident to us either through a phone call or via email as soon as it is practical. This is especially important if you are not sure about what to do after the incident.
If your policy includes it, we offer you a breakdown to tow your car to a garage approved by us.
The claims process starts when you fill and deposit a claim form with us. You can download the claim form from our website, or you can fill the online claim form and upload the necessary documents
For a car insurance claim, you will need to attach a police abstract and a copy of your driving license. In cases where we require more information, we will notify you.
Download the claim form online and attach any related documents (hospitals bills, police abstract if applicable). We will advise you if we need more documents.
If the incident takes place once your shipment has landed (such as an accident involving the truck ferrying your shipment), you will need to fill a marine insurance claim form, and attach a police abstract as well as other documents relating to the value of the shipment (suppliers invoice). We will advise you if we need more documents.
This is not necessarily the case. It is however advisable to wait for a policeman to determine who is at fault. In any case, call us for assistance if in doubt.
For car insurance, we will require you to send the car to a garage we have authorized. For other types of claims (e.g. domestic insurance claims), we will request you for a quotation from your appointed repairs professional and use it to settle the claim.

- Report the incident to us and to the police and then fill the claim form, attaching the abstract and a copy of your driver’s license
- We will assess the car and if satisfied that it is beyond repair we will issue a settlement advice (our recommendation on the amount of compensation due to you)
- We will then require you to hand in title documents (log book), spare key and spare wheel (if applicable) and your KRA PIN certificate.
- We will then credit your bank account.

- We will assess the case, and if satisfied, we will issue a settlement advice (our recommendation on the amount of compensation due to you)
- We will then require you to hand in title documents (log book), spare key and spare wheel (if applicable) and your KRA PIN certificate.
- We will then credit your bank account.
The claims process usually depends on how quickly you provide us with claim documents, and how fast it takes for our appointed garages, and assessors to process your case. Most of our internal processes take a maximum of 24 hours each, with the exception of issuing discharge vouchers which take up to 48 hours.
We will not pay a claim if the incident is not covered in the policy you bought, or if the claim is found to be fraudulent.
